AHRI published the 2018 Annual Report, which illustrates the industry’s ability – and desire –to adapt to our changing environment. It highlights AHRI’s response to a highly unpredictable political and regulatory landscape, and how we charted new avenues to success, sharing the industry’s story with the public and media. In addition to a look at our legislative efforts at the state and federal level, it also includes information on our alternative refrigerant research, upgraded certification directory, and AHRI’s new headquarters. It was distributed to the Board of Directors and all member company official representatives in March.

We have continued to expand our presence on social media, supporting the initiatives of our workforce development and government affairs teams, while educating homeowners about the value of our industry and important work our members are doing. At the same time, we regularly engage with the media to provide input and commentary on legislative and regulatory proposals that affect our members. AHRI has been quoted in a number of news outlets this year, including Bloomburg, The Hill, and Politico, as well as industry publications.

AHRI continues to receive positive coverage in the mainstream media, with stories in Politico, Bloomberg, CQ/Roll Call, The Hill, and E&E News on such issues as the Kigali Amendment/HFC phase down, the DC Circuit Court’s SNAP ruling, the draft DOE Process Rule, and Steve Yurek’s testimony before the House Energy Subcommittee.

In order to keep our members informed, we have launched two new weekly newsletters: AHRI NextGen Directory Update, and AHRI Reinvent. These publications include critical information to keep members informed of directory updates and Reinvent implementation plans, respectively. While the Directory Update distribution is controlled based on Directory access, the Reinvent newsletter is open to any AHRI member company representative. Details on Reinvent are maintained on a dedicated web page.

The 2019 Spring Meeting event mobile app is now available on any portable device. This tutorial highlights all of the app's features, including instructions on how to download it. The first time you log in, your username is the email you used to register for the meeting, and your password is your last name in all lowercase letters.

This year’s Leadership Forum will be November 10-12 at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort and Spa in Puerto Rico. Next year’s Spring Meeting will be hosted at the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC, May 18-20. The Marquis is a beautiful new property located in the heart of D.C., and we are very excited to be able to host the Spring Meeting there.
