HVACR Education and Training

A skilled HVACR workforce is critical to energy conservation goals in the United States and around the globe.

With an estimated additional 57,000 skilled workers needed each year to work in this fast-paced, well-paying, multibillion dollar industry, AHRI works closely with industry partners to coordinate and synergize efforts to recruit and train the next generation of HVACR workers.

AHRI was a member of the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation, an organization dedicated to leading an industry effort to develop and promote educational projects, programs, and partnerships to attract committed and skilled employees to a career in HVACR. The Foundation released several reports in 2015 that examine the industry’s need for more workers, including installers and technicians.
