AHRI India Representative Shares Outlook on HVACR Trends

On January 16, Thermal Control magazine published an editorial by AHRI India Representative Vikram Murthy in which he outlines the industry’s recent activities and emerging trends in the country. In recent years, the expansion of the construction, housing, and hospitality sectors in India have led to a growing demand for both unitary and commercial air conditioning systems. Data from India’s Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change predicts similar results, projecting energy use from air conditioners to more than triple by 2038.

In addition to growing demand, AHRI expects other factors such as India’s green movement, new technology, and expanded retrofitting efforts to impact the Indian HVACR market in the coming years. Contact: Vikram Murthy.
