Craig M. Johnson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Long Point Advisors and has been a long-respected figure in New York politics. A former member of the New York State Senate, Craig is regarded as an insightful leader and trusted counselor to individuals and businesses as they navigate the New York State government ecosystem. With over a quarter-century experience in elected office, government affairs, law, politics, and business, Craig has earned a reputation for being a skilled negotiator, accomplished lobbyist, seasoned political strategist, and savvy business evaluator who possesses a track record of accomplishments and success for his clients at various levels of government. He is the author of several articles, op-eds, and client alerts on a variety of topics. 

Craig has been lobbying and advocating on behalf of clients in New York State for over a decade after serving in elective office, first as a member of the Nassau County Legislature and then as a member of the New York State Senate. While in the State Senate, Craig chaired the powerful Senate Committee on Investigations, Government Operations, and Taxation and served on the Education, Health, Local Government, Insurance, and Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committees.  

In his current capacity at Long Point Advisors, Craig successfully advised individuals, for-profit businesses, trade associations, and not-for-profit corporations in various legislative and legal matters before New York State government and New York municipal legislatures and regulatory agencies.
