AHRI’s office in Hefei, China, has operated for more than five years, and supports manufacturers seeking certification for HVACR and water heating products. Through partnerships with China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (CRAA) and testing organization General Machinery Product Inspection Institute (GMPI). Each year, AHRI attends the annual China Refrigeration Expo to meet with manufacturers and discuss certification options, as well as further promote certified products and AHRI standards.

Regulatory Compliance  

AHRI’s China team facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements throughout Asia and equipment exported into North America for certification participants. In addition, the team is committed to supporting AHRI certification program growth in the region by expanding testing. Currently, more than 25 percent of all AHRI certification tests are conducted regionally in China.
