Richard Corey

Before moving to AJW to focus on green energy solutions and decarbonization efforts, Richard W. Corey was the second longest serving Executive Officer in the history of the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
During his tenure with CARB, he managed a team of more than 1,700 engineers, scientists, and other professionals responsible for a broad range of programs, including those concerning clean fuels, ozone and particulate-forming pollutants, climate, and policy enforcement.
He oversaw the development and implementation of a series of first-in-the-world programs to slash greenhouse gas and ozone-forming emissions, as well as several strategies to reduce toxic air contaminants from various sources that adversely impact communities. In addition, they developed measures and incentives to reduce emissions from a variety of freight-related sources.
With more than 30 years of experience, Corey provides deep knowledge of decarbonization policy mechanisms, markets, technologies, as well as meaningful connections with stakeholders at the state, federal, and international levels.
